Less than a day after the F-22 Raptor took to the skies over Edwards AFB, the aircraft continued to check out "Code One," the Air Force announced today. Code One means that the aircraft returned to base with no deficiencies and is ready to fly again.
18-05-1998 - Edwards Airforce Base, CA -- Raptor 01's flight was its first at Edwards AFB and its third since it first took off from the Lockheed Martin Plant in Marietta, GA. The aircraft accomplished all of its test points with precision. Aircraft handling during normal flight profiles, while in formation flight and during both cycling of the landing gear and speed brake, met all forecast test parameters.
